Welcome to Expressions! We are a local business with the goal of providing high quality acting classes and workshops for Winnipeg’s aspiring actors. Acting can be an extremely fun and impactful activity for all kinds of people. Whether you are taking your first steps in your acting journey, looking to book your first role, or a veteran just looking to stay sharp, Expressions is here to help you achieve your goals.

On-Camera Experience
Every Expressions class builds toward something real. From scene work to short films, students act on camera throughout the session — gaining experience they can actually see.

Level-Based Training
We offer clear pathways for actors ages 7 to 18 — starting with foundational skills and progressing to advanced scene work and film production. Students build confidence in a supportive environment while being challenged at the right level for their age and experience.

A Supportive Community
Our studio is more than a place to take acting classes - it’s a space where students collaborate, support one another, and create lasting friendships. Parents tell us the sense of belonging their kids find here is just as valuable as the acting training.
What are the real BENEFITS?
CONFIDENCE
Imagine the courage it takes to perform a scene in front of others. In our classes, students find a safe and supportive space where they learn to be vulnerable and confident in who they are!
COMMUNICATION
Listening and reacting are fundamental acting skills that have real world value. In the age of smart phones and virtual reality, the ability to slow down and connect has become a forgotten art.
EMPATHY
Acting requires us to put ourselves in other people’s shoes. Through a variety of exercises, including sharing circles, we develop our innate ability to empathize and think beyond a singular viewpoint.
TEAMWORK
Acting is a group activity. We emphasize the importance of social skills which help us excel in acting and the real world. Many of our students make friendships that go far beyond the classroom!
