Take 1 – Intro to Film Acting
This course introduces young actors to the essentials of on-camera performance, with a focus on truthful storytelling and character development. Students will learn how to bring scenes to life with honesty and nuance, while gaining comfort working in front of the camera.
The term ends with a filmed short scene, giving each student a chance to showcase their progress and take home a finished piece.

Take 2 – Elevate Your Skills
Intermediate Level
Take 2 challenges young actors to deepen their craft by exploring emotional range, subtext, and the technical demands of a film set. Students develop layered, multi-dimensional characters while refining advanced on-camera techniques like hitting marks, maintaining continuity, and adjusting to direction.
This level also introduces the fundamentals of film auditioning, helping students build confidence in presenting themselves and their work.
The term culminates in the filming of a short movie, giving students the opportunity to apply their skills in a collaborative production and walk away with a well-crafted final piece.

Advanced – Master the Craft
This advanced course is for actors ready to push their skills to the next level. Students take on high-stakes scenes and complex characters, delivering emotionally rich, precise performances with confidence.
Actors will expand their versatility through improvisation, vocal training, and audition technique, while also learning to collaborate with directors and adapt their performances across a range of film styles and genres. The course emphasizes consistency, focus, and on-set professionalism.
The term concludes with a fully produced short film, giving each actor the chance to showcase their talent in a refined, cinematic piece.
Advanced Level (2 terms of Take 2 required)

Jr. Company – Create. Perform. Excel.
Invitation or Interview Only | Full Year (Fall & Winter Terms)
Jr. Company is the highest-level course in our program, designed for dedicated young actors ready to take on greater creative challenges. Over two terms, students will focus on advanced acting technique, complex scene work, and high-level audition training.
This course emphasizes collaboration and creativity as students work together to develop and star in a series of original short film projects. Scenes will push emotional range, timing, and technical precision, with coaching that mirrors professional expectations.
By year’s end, actors will have a strong portfolio of filmed work and a deeper understanding of their craft — building confidence, creativity, and the skills to tell powerful stories on screen
